New Letter Grading System for SEE & NEB Nepal
The new letter grading system For SEE and NEB has been published by the government of Nepal, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology. The government has decided to adopt a new letter grading system for the evaluation of school schools from grade 1 itself beginning from the current school year. An official in the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology says Education Minister Devendra Paudel has recently approved a guideline to implement the new system.
Hence, all the students from grades 1 to 12 will receive their final annual evaluations in the letter grading system from now onwards, according to the ministry’s spokesperson Deepak Sharma. Until now, the system was applied to grades 10-12 only.

As per the guideline, students have to get a grade of 'D' in each subject to get promoted to the higher class.
The following picture represents the new letter grading system for New academic session for 2078 which will be started from this year. According to the ministry of education, those students who are unable to score a minimum of 35% will not get the main certificate of SEE and are not able to join the upper grade. below 35% are counted as non-graded.
The new grading letter system will be implemented this year according to the officials of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology Nepal. According to the new provision the pass mark is 35. It means all the students from grades 1 to 12 must score a minimum of 35 per cent in theory. Similarly, the pass mark for the practical is 40.
